There is a drop in the prevalence rate of HIV/AIDs in Ghana. Figures released recently have revealed that the prevalence rate declined from 1.9% in 2007 to 1.7% in 2008, a small but significant drop. On the international level, South Africa, which used to lead the world in the disease’s prevalence, is also reporting a peak and the prevalence could be on the decline after that.
