Rev. Deegbe must come again
| Posted: Wednesday, March 30, 2005
I sometimes wonder what message some in the clergy in Ghanaian want to send to the populace.
Did Rev. Deegbe of the Ghana Baptist Convention have to wait for the NPP folks to react before coming out blaming both camps?
Was he afraid to call on the former president to behave when he was going about heaping insults on Kufuor?
What did he expect the NPP camp to do after over one month of incessant abuses heaped on them, and the president by Rawlings?
Even the good book says that, " The Spirit of God shall not strive with man forever". At some point there is bound to be a reaction. He must give credit to the president and his people, for having been so patient.
He should know where the provocation is coming from and learn to address it promptly, for when even a coward is chased for too long, he tends to show some bravery.
Maybe he wouldn't have found anything wrong with Rawlings' comments if the NPP chairman had not reacted.
