2005 gt premiership launched

The 2005 gt premiership has officially been launched at a ceremony in Accra. In a keynote address, Mr Welbeck Abra-Appiah, chairman for the occasion and the Professional League Board expressed gratitude to gt for the sponsorship and said 'gt is putting its best in soccer both gala and premiership’.
He bemoaned the attitude of hooliganism, improper officiating of matches and indiscipline on the part of spectators as a hindrance to Ghana sports and called on all to eschew all such misbehaviours.
Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), on his part, also added his voice to calls of gaining positive image for Ghana sports adding that in an attempt to curb indiscipline in the football scene, ‘all sub-committees would be strengthened to deal with cases without fear or favour’.
He further announced that internal mechanism would also be strengthened.
Deputy Chief Executive of Ghana Telecom Mr Nyanaing reiterated the company’s commitment to developing sports in the country adding that gt is sponsoring both the gala and the premiership at the tune of 4.3 billion.
A signing ceremony was held to that effect.
