2nd Toyota Users` Conference Held

Toyota Ghana Company Limited has held its second "Users Conference" in Accra to update customers on latest developments at Toyota Ghana and provide an interactive platform for them.

Managing Director of Toyota Ghana Mr Shigeru Sato said this year the company is committed to providing maximum benefit to customers with focus on their satisfaction.

He said to give more meaning to the above, the company established a Customer Satisfaction Team at the beginning of the year. "The objective is for all staff to listen very well to customers' voices, strive to solve their problems, give feedback to customers and improve quickly on our performance".

Mr Sato announced that a Toyota saloon car, CAMRY, which has a 3.0 litter gasoline engine, would be outdoored in June this year. He also said the company is planning to upgrade the specifications of the existing model line up.

Marketing Manager Mr Eric Dako said Toyota worldwide sold 5.5 million units of cars in 2002, 6.7 in 2004 and 7.2 targeted for this year. He said in Ghana, the company made 392 units of sales in 200, 1186 in 2004 and is sure of hitting 1600 this year.

He said the growth indicates that customers are developing confidence in Toyota. Mr Dako said the vision of Toyota is to offer every customer the best purchase and ownership experience.

In this case, he said, "the customer is well thought of at each stage of Toyota's operation, as well as the entire period that the customer owns any Toyota vehicle".

He said Toyota is committed to ensuring that they go beyond the world-class minimum safety standard and would also provide Ghanaians with best vehicles suitable for the Ghanaian environment.

He reiterated that the company would bring 3000cc V6 Camry into the market soon, also the automatic transmission of Corolla 1.8L 1300cc Corolla and 2 versions of New Generation Hiace bus.

Senior Manager, Sales Mr William Asamoah said Toyota would soon provide a state-of-the-art system to improve their productivity.

He said dealers would be located and upgraded in every region to ensure that customers get genuine parts at any part of the country.

He cautioned customers to be ware of imitations on the market.

The occasion was also used to launch the new 15-eseater Toyota Hiace bus with air conditioner (3000cc diesel).
