Remember Christopher Reeve? He is remembered mostly as the Superman. But he did many other films. I saw him in a Merchant-Ivory production called The Bostonian some time ago.
I can understand why they say the film did not do very well at the box office. I found it rather ponderous. But funny I was able to see it a couple or so more times and it began to make an unforgettable impression…
But it's not this Bostonian I am talking about in this little piece. It's about the "Glamour man of Ghana"; the Jaguar-loving wahalan of Ghana's politics.
He was in an international gossip magazine recently and had the opportunity to portray to the world his true Ghanaian image even in "retirement" but flunked it.
No more Northern smocks in sight but designer sweatshirt with Boston emblazoned across the chest! So where are all the Northern smocks?
They were just apparels of convenience to con the Northerners…and by golly, were they not conned!
