Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva left Accra yesterday for Guinea-Bissau on the next stage of his African tour after a two-day state visit.

The two countries earlier signed a communiqué, which covers economic, political, social, cultural relations as well as global issues.

A 35-member delegation including his Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Health, Education, Culture and Promotion of Racial Equity as well as top business executive accompanied him.

Before departure, he inspected a guard of honour mounted by a contingent from the Fifth Battalion of Infantry under the command of the Major Charles Adu-Bimpong made up of 98 men and three officers.
