30 players to appear before Status Committee today

The Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has invited 30 players to appear before it today, April 14, for hearing.

The players are praying the Committee to grant them floating status to enable them to continue with their career elsewhere after falling out of favour with their present clubs.

Among the players invited are Robert Odamtten and Amui Quaye - Accra Great Olympics, Nana Ahin Duah Jr and Olesu Tettey - Soccer Millionaires, Kwame Addo and Abdul Rahman Alhassan - AshantiGold, Arnold Kweku and Edmund Lamptey - Mariners FC, Suraj Abdul-Samad, Bernard Achaw and Abdullah Mohamed - Zaytuna FC, Ebenezer McCathy and Collins Owusu - Metro Stars FC, Daniel Bomfa, Yusif Musah, Yahaya Musah and Kwasi Boateng - B.A. United, Daniel Owusu Dary - Chance of Children FC, Aminu Musah - Future Stars, Cosmos Okocha Forson - BRM FC, Abubakari Issah Sadiq - Mab's FC, Abu Mohammed - Bafana Bafana, Ofosu-Appiah - Wonders Juvenile FC and Owusu Kennedy - Great Ashantis FC.

The rest are Mohammed Emmanuel Quashie - Top Bankers, Albert Eshun - Heart of Lions, Anthony Baffoe - White Eagles, Antwi Bediako - Samartex FC, Abubakar Ali - Wonder Boys FC and Samuel Osei Mensah - Abseibay FC.

A statement signed by Administrative Officer of the GFA Mr Edward Bawa said players who fail to appear before the Committee would have their cases struck out.
