Established a little over a year ago, the Foundation for Contemporary Art seeks to establish a public database of artists, art organisations, businesses, galleries, patrons and other people interested in contemporary art.
It has created a website that presents contemporary art in Ghana to the world at large. The Foundation has also organised seminars and exhibitions with the aim of raising awareness and developing critical thinking within contemporary art in Ghana.
Fifty percent of proceeds from sale of artworks will be donated to the World Food Programme in Ghana.
The exhibition, which will be opened by the Minister for Tourism and Modernisation of the Capital City, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, is being sponsored by TNT in Ghana.
