Africans urged to patronise their own goods

GNA | Posted: Monday, May 09, 2005

2004 CPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso Constituency Mr Kwame Appiah Boateng has called on Ghanaians and Africans in general to patronise goods produced in their countries to help boost their economies.

He also called for an effective economic dialogue between African countries and the leading world economic powers, to persuade them to soften their harsh impositions, which threatened the economic, social and political stability of the African continent.

In an interview with the GNA, Mr Boateng said there was the need for a "positive action" to focus world attention on natural and democratic rights of Africans to be free from economic slavery and political bondage and pursue the noble principles of democracy, freedom, liberty and free enterprise.
