Artisans schooled on HIV/AIDS

A two-week intensive course on HIV/AIDS for 80 artisans, drawn from the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region, is underway at Abura-Afrangua near Kwamankese.
The event, under the theme: "Abstinence The Best And The Most Reliable Antidote For AIDS", is being organized by ICARE and the Universal Christian Mission Association, (UCMA), two non-governmental organizations operating in the district.
Reverend Isaac K. Gyedu, President of UCMA, charged the participants to take the workshop seriously and spread the knowledge they would acquire from it among their peers. Mr. Billy Graham, President of ICARE said the educational campaign on the HIV/AIDS pandemic had reached a stage where individuals and organized bodies must use the power of team work to achieve.
He charged the participants to cultivate the spirit of team work to enable them put to good use the knowledge and skills they would gain at the workshop for the benefit of their people and the nation.
