The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) provided a motorbike to enable the community health officer of the centre to discharge her duties effectively.

He urged the Community Health Officer, Madam Gifty Nyabato, to interact with the people in their homes to bring out their health problems for redress. He also inaugurated the Gowire-Nayire CBHSP Centre, an abandoned bungalow, which the GHS solicited from the Bongo District Assembly and renovated for use at the cost of 10 million cedis.
The Assemblyman of the area, Mr George Agana, commended the GHS and CRS for the kind gesture rendered to the two communities and asked those, who had not yet registered with the National Health Insurance Scheme to do so.
The Chairman for the function, Dr Nsiire Agana, who is also the Deputy Regional Director of Health Services and a native of the area, called on parents to send their children to school, so that they could become future leaders.
He asked them to educate each other on the deadly HIV/AIDS disease and co-operate with the community health officer.
