Leader of the Kumasi Area "A" Women's Movement of The Apostolic Church, Mrs Grace Owusu, has challenged Christian Women to lead the fight against moral decadence that has engulfed the society.
Addressing the closing session of a four-day convention for the Movement, under the theme "For He Is Our Peace" in Kumasi, She said Christian women must spearhead the crusade against moral degeneration in the country.
"It is only through women that all the immorality and other vices going on in the country can be brought down," she added.
She said when Christian women showed the way, it would send the right signals to other women to wake up to the challenge and join the fight against immorality and indiscipline particularly among the youth in the country.
Mrs Owusu called on Ghanaians especially women to accept Christ because it was only through Christ that mankind could get peace in the home, at the workplace and more importantly in the upbringing of children.
She said given the number of unemployed women in the church, the women's movement had taken it upon itself and provided them with skills in batik, tie and dye making and pomade making to be self-employed.
The women, she said had provided the "B" Ward of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) with furniture valued at about ¢1.5 million for nursing mothers.
Mrs Owusu said the movement also presented food items made up of two bags of maize, two bags of rice and four cartons of milk and cash of one million cedis to the Kumasi Children's Home.
