MOFEP invites public input to budget formulation

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MOFEP) has announced that it intends to present the 2006 Budget Statement to parliament in November 2005. It is anticipated that parliament will debate the statement before the Christmas recess in December 2005.
The Ministry has invited the general public - individuals, trade associations, professional and religious bodies, and others - to make submission of ideas and contributions that may be considered during the process of formulating the Budget Statement.

Deadline for the submissions is the close of business on Wednesday 15 September 2005. The statement concludes that "the exercise is being done in the hope and spirit that all ideas contribute to make Ghana better for all of us."
