Government is focused on human development- Dr Nduom

The Minister for Public Sector reforms, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, has urged staff of clients service units to improve their services to their public and see them as their 'boss.'
He said the Public is very important to the growth of any organizations, and we need their opinon to develop.
Addressing staff of client services units of selected ministries, departments, and agencies at a two-day training course, Dr Nduom said "which ever comes first, what the public says must not be ignored.
There should be equal respect to every public. There should not be discrimination when it comes to providing services to the public. How we welcome people and talk to them helps them create a perception about us".
He reiterated the government's desire to ensure human development. "Government's most important element is human development, so there is the need for us to be shown the positive reason why we should be changed. We must always see the public as supreme," he said.
The participants would be taken through programmes such as Customer Service Delivery, Effective Customer Service, the Service Encounter and Source of Customer.
The Minister also urged the various ministries and public departments to establish an office different from the receptionist. He said such office would provide data to the public.
