Have time with God - Turkson
GNA | Posted: Wednesday, September 28, 2005
His Eminence Peter Cardinal Appiah Turk son, Primate of the Catholic Church in Ghana, has called on Christians especially Catholics to keep their links with God through prayers, reading the Bible and the adoration of the Sacrament.
Cardinal Appiah Turkson gave this advise in a homily at the Asankrangwa Immaculate Conception Catholic Church when he met the congregation on Tuesday.
He said this that through this attitude they would bridge the gap between mankind and the Lord.
"Christians must have ample time and spend their leisure hours at Church premises to praise and adore Him and put their requests before Him and see if He will not answer our prayers," he said.
The Catholic Primate called on Christians to lead lifestyles worthy of emulation and said this was another way of propagating the word of God to bring peace and harmony among the people.
Mr Joseph Arthur, President of the Church, congratulated Cardinal Appiah-Turkson on his elevation to the high office of the Church.
He appealed to Cardinal Appiah-Turkson for the creation of a Diocese for the Wassail Amenfi and Wassail West districts to enhance growth and evangelism.
