Asantehene to lecture at Harvard University

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will give a lecture at the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African-American Studies, Harvard University in the United States of America on November three.
His topic will be "Chieftaincy and Development in contemporary Africa: The Case of Asante".
A statement from the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi last Friday said prior to the lecture, the Asantehene will be the guest of honour at the opening of an exhibition on West African Gold: Akan Regalia from the Glassel Collection at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
After the Harvard lecture, Otumfuo Osei Tutu will hold discussions with officials of international institutions and investors before returning home, the statement said.
