Hmm, politics! The types that often get thrust to the forefront in politics. The leader of the EGLE Party, Mr. Danny Atta-Ofori has been plodding from one risible political windmill misadventure to the other.
He reached his highest point of ridicule in 2004 when the equally quixotic Dr. Mahama of the PNC selected him as his running mate in the presidential election.
I think they grandiloquently described themselves, in conjunction with GCPP as a "Grand Coalition"!
I cannot help but hide a tweeter anytime I call to my own mind the idea of a Vice President Mr. Atta-Ofori ensconced at the Osu Castle issuing forth executive orders and other edicts - if Dr. Mahama had won the elections!
Now his party, EGLE, has joined the NDC in a grand plan to make Ghana ungovernable all because the NPP Administration wants to enfranchise Diaspora Ghanaians.
But Mr. Atta-Ofori has been exposed either as an intellectually incompetent politician or simply a charlatan. His party's acronym stands for Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere. Originally they had the word "Accountable" inserted somewhere making it EAGLE.
That was one of the vehicles created to legitimize ex-Flt. Lt. Rawlings' foray into multi-party politics. EGLE - Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere; so why is Mr. Atta-Ofori so bent on denying every Ghanaian living every where the chance to have a vote in Ghana?
Yes, politics does involve all sorts of types...
