Micheal Essien: Missed the Nations Cup |
The ministry of education and sports says it is waiting for Ratomir Dujkovic’s report on the tournament before deciding whether to cancel his contract or to allow him to continue in his position.
Deputy minister of education and sports, O.B Amoah says any decision on the future of the Serbian trainer has to be based on facts, hence the need to await the coach’s report on the circumstances surrounding the team’s disappointing first round exit.
The deputy minister has also called for the constitution of a technical directorate at the GFA to supervise the activities of Dujkovic.
Meanwhile Dujkovic himself has recommended the appointment of three Ghanaian coaches to augment his technical team.
Dujkovic told the local Press that he’d require local assistants to help in the team’s preparation for the 2006 World cup in Germany.
With 30 players expected to be called up for pre-tournament camping, Dujkovic says he’ll require more hands to handle the team as well as use the new assistants for scouting purposes.
A Venezuelan assistant, Ali Kanyas Jose was appointed just before the commencement of the nations cup competition, but Dujkovic says Sellas Tetteh remains his first assistant with Kanyas his assistant.
