LIMIT MPS TENURE TO 2 TERMS ONLY

Events taking place in 21st Century Ghana are proving, beyond doubt that we need to review the tenure of office for our Members of Parliament.
Just as we have limited the president to only two terms in office, we can equally limit the parliamentarian to that same number. This is to ensure that people give way for others to also contribute towards the national cause.
Having been constitutionally given the right to serve the people for as many terms as possible, some of our MPs who have served their people for three to four terms (12-16 years), still struggle with new people to retain their seats.
For instance, from 1992 to date, the same person has been the MP for my constituency. What is more, some of them are old and should have been resting so as to pave way for young men and women to take up the challenge. Unfortunately, they are stuck onto it like a dynasty.
It is in this light that I think time is ripe for a Bill limiting the MPs tenure of office be presented for debate. We need to limit it to two terms, which means that the MP can only serve his people for a maximum of 8 years.
This would compel them to give other people the chance to serve the nation since no particular individual alone has the antidote to Ghana's problems.
