The Minister for Regional Cooperation and NEPAD Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku has assured Ghanaians that the government is in total control and will continue to ensure the sustainability of democracy, good governance and rule of law in the country.
He said through the Africa Peer Review Mechanism Process (APRM), Ghana has become a shining example on the continent and the benefits of the government institutionalizing the principles of democracy are visible through the booming of investments in the economy and also the cancellation of our debts by the international community.
He has therefore called on Ghanaians to continue to support the government and offer suggestions which would push the country forward. On the passage of the Representation of Peoples Amendment Bill (ROPAB) into an Act, he urged Ghanaians to support it since the intention of the law is clear, which is to allow Ghanaians everywhere to exercise their franchise in all public elections in the country.
He appealed to Ghanaians in Diaspora to continue to support the economy and the government.
Dr. Apraku said there is nothing fishy in the passage of the bill and appealed to all Ghanaians to support the forward march of the country. He assured Ghanaians that the government would continue to develop all parts of the country and would ensure peace, stability and tranquility.
